WHO ARE WE?
Ataraxia (registered as ‘Ataraxia for All CIC’ company no: 14338459) is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company initially founded by renowned professional athlete and World-Class coach Tom Blackledge, and his wife Stella Blackledge MiTOL, a Learning and Development professional.
We founded Ataraxia to offer exceptional quality opportunities to promote physical and mental health, to equip individuals, groups and businesses with the ‘tools for tranquility’ necessary to be the very best of themselves.
OUR MISSION
Ataraxia is an ancient Greek word meaning a state of serene calmness and balance of mind, body, and spirit. It reflects a way of being; free from anxiety, grounded in clarity, and connected to a deeper sense of purpose. At Ataraxia for All, we bring this philosophy to life through community-based programmes that nurture resilience, wellbeing, and connection across every stage of life regardless of current levels of ability.
OUR OVERALL AIM
As a not-for-profit community organisation, we believe that true wellbeing is multidimensional, rooted in how we think, move, and connect. Our Mind, Body, and Soul pathways offer opportunities for personal and collective growth, while our Corporate Wellness services extend this vision into workplaces, schools, and community groups.
Every paid session and partnership directly supports our aim to provide free and accessible wellbeing opportunities for those who need them most — ensuring that the calm and clarity of Ataraxia truly is for all.
