Nutrition at Ataraxia is rooted in real-world experience, not trends. Our approach is informed by the ethos of our lived experience of founding and running Power Kitchen, a pioneering healthy fast-food restaurant founded on the belief that truly nourishing food should be accessible, inclusive, and uncompromising in quality. Power Kitchen was built around whole-food nutrition, free from gluten and refined sugars, with a strong emphasis on gut health, metabolic balance, and individual dietary needs. Led by qualified nutritional therapists, its philosophy rejected outdated low-fat dogma in favour of evidence-informed, functional nutrition that supports energy, recovery, immune health, and long-term wellbeing. This foundation continues to shape Ataraxia’s nutritional guidance today.
While the Power Kitchen restaurant is now closed, its nutritional mission lives on through Ataraxia. We continue to provide dietary support, education, and practical guidance for individuals and community groups, particularly those navigating specialist needs such as gluten intolerance, metabolic and hormonal health challenges, or gut-related conditions.
Alongside our practical support and education, we produce small-batch, gluten-free and refined-sugar-free desserts supplied to selected local cafés, restaurants, and gyms—proving that supportive nutrition can still feel joyful, indulgent, and social. Just as importantly, we work to empower people with the knowledge to make informed, sustainable food choices that support both physical and mental wellbeing, reinforcing Ataraxia’s belief that nourishment is a cornerstone of resilience, recovery, and self-care.
